As Bihar envisions its roadmap to 2047, the shared aspiration is to build a state where agile institutions, innovation-led solutions, and equitable governance drive sustainable socio-economic development. This collective vision goes beyond rhetoric - it represents a shared commitment to action, requiring alignment, capacity-building, and a relentless focus on outcomes that focus on reaching the unreached and serving the poor, marginalized, and underserved populations.

The Development Partner’s Consultation, hosted at BIPARD in December 2024, marked a pivotal milestone in Bihar’s journey toward achieving the vision of Viksit Bihar@2047. Anchored by the General Administration Department (GAD), this high-impact convening brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including senior government officials, corporate leaders, multilateral organizations, philanthropic foundations, and policy experts, all united in their commitment to transformative and inclusive state-building.

The session was enriched by the strategic priorities outlined by Mr. Amrit Lal Meena (IAS), Chief Secretary, Bihar and insightful discussions led by eminent dignitaries like Mr. Sriram Taranikanti (IAS), Director, LBSNAA, and Mr. K.K. Pathak (IAS), Director General, Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development, BIPARD Gaya.

As Bihar envisions its healthcare landscape for 2047, five transformative pillars define the roadmap:

• Prevention First: Empowering communities to avoid illnesses before they arise.
• Timely Diagnosis: Bridging gaps for early and accurate detection.
• Affordable Treatment: Expanding access to free or low-cost healthcare services.
• Strengthening Small Towns: Building resilient health systems in smaller cities.
• Tech-Powered Care: Embracing innovation for impactful healthcare delivery.

Representatives from the Piramal Foundation, including Mr. Kartik Varma, Core Team Member, and Mr. Ashish Kumar, Program Director, has been actively involved in co-creating the vision roadmap for Viksit Bihar @ Viksit Bharat 2047.
