Piramal Swasthya collaborates with Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd.

In India, truck drivers have to cover long distances and are prone to a multitude of health risks, which are often neglected. Piramal Swasthya in collaboration with Shriram transport finance company Ltd. STFCL conducted a special medical camp for the trucker’s community at Angul, 117 Kms from Bhubaneswar.

To address the health needs of this community, the Mobile Medical Van programme aims to conduct screening, diagnosis, treatment and referral for non-communicable diseases (Diabetes & Hypertension), communicable diseases and minor ailments and focuses on creating awareness, education and counseling on healthy practices and management of non-communicable diseases. More than 106 drivers and helpers benefited through this camp.
