Piramal Swasthya expands Community Nutrition Hubs in Partnership with Women Child Welfare Development Andhra Pradesh

Piramal Swasthya signed an MoU with Women and Child Welfare (WCD) department for a total of 10 "Community Nutrition Hubs" in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari, West Godavari for a tenure of 1 year under Poshan Abhiyan Innovation Programme.

The Community Nutrition Hub Programme will improve the nutrition behaviour of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children below 5 years, family members, and the community in general to address the prevalence of malnutrition in tribal geographies.

Two Community Nutrition Hubs each will be established in these 5 districts (10 mandals - 1 for each mandal). Nutri-Garden will serve as a scientific model to orient the community and women on the preparation of nutrition-rich food. 

The model would also support training and capacity building of Anganwadi workers, pregnant women, lactating mothers and mothers.
