Saaras Impact Foundation (SIF) was co-founded by Saleem Khan in November 2016. Saleem comes with an impeccable reputation having previously served as a Gandhi Fellow over 2011-13 in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. His passion was to work on policy implementation and serve the underprivileged community to create awareness and help them get access to social rights for their upliftment.

Currently, SIF is creating awareness among the eligible families through different media and aggressively working on the implementation of Right to Education Section 12(1)(c) in Uttar Pradesh. SIF is running a helpline number in Uttar Pradesh to provide 360 degree support to the beneficiaries. The Foundation provides end to end handholding from Information to Application and from Application to Admission. SIF Team goes deep in the community to create awareness among the beneficiaries. The Team also develops local men and women into Community Champions so that they can take the responsibility to fill the information poverty gaps in the community.

Along with community awareness, SIF proactively drives government advocacy to fill implementation gaps.

Saaras Impact Foundation is operationally active in Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi with a total of 15 members and partners with organisations like Aadi Ambedkar Vidyarthi Foundation, Swatantra Talim, Pratham, Yeh Ek Soch Foundation, UPNPplus, Gharelu Mahila Mazdoor Union and Samartha Foundation in Uttar Pradesh.

To define the scale of the issue they are solving, Uttar Pradesh has around 6 lakh open seats under the RTE section 12(1)(c) and just in the district of Lucknow the estimate is about 25000 every year. This makes for a transformative opportunity which Saaras Impact Foundation aims to be a part of by supporting socio-economically disadvantaged families in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Agra and Gautam Budh Nagar.

As of today, Saaras Impact Foundation has reached out to 47,000 people translating to 12,291 student's admissions.
