In Assamese XUSHRUKHA means taking care. To take a step ahead in continuum of care, the first ever research-based program of National Health Mission, Assam and Kamrup District, supported by Piramal Foundation started the 18-month research program for reducing the rate of probable high-risk pregnancy (HRP) cases in Assam. By leveraging digital technology as an enabler and accelerator, Piramal Foundation have customised Utprerona - an innovative mobile application containing counselling content and guidelines that will empower the digital knowledge of 694 Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) to conduct door-to-door screenings and provide support to pregnant women facing high-risk situations.
