It started with a simple idea—turning Panchayat spaces into libraries. This idea has grown into a movement across Lohardaga. With support from local leaders, communities, and the administration, Gyan Kendras are now spaces where children read together, share stories, and experience the joy of learning.
The real transformation is in mindset: from protecting books to celebrating open exploration. Youth, through Sadvabna Manch, are leading digital and peer learning, placing Gyan Kendras at the center of community-led change.
So far, 41 Gyan Kendras have been set up. Reading sessions have begun in 16 Panchayats. A new relationship with books—and learning—is taking root.
