Letter of Appreciation

Manmohan Singh

Dear Friends,

As I reflect on our transformative journey, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you—our dedicated team members, partners, collaborators, and Volunteers. Your unwavering commitment has been pivotal in driving change through Aspirational Bharat Collaborative across 150+ of India’s remotest districts.

Your resilience, determination, and belief in the power of individual change leading to systemic transformation have been remarkable. You have worked tirelessly in areas where few would venture, demonstrating a deep commitment to serve communities in need. Whether in Baramullah, Bahraich, Begusarai, Baksa, or Bastar, your efforts are shaping a more equitable, inclusive, and empowered Bharat. Every milestone we have achieved is a testament to our shared vision and collective determination toward a Viksit Bharat.

Our partnerships with NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, and state governments across Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and other states have been critical in driving meaningful system change at scale. These collaborations have enabled us to in creating lasting, impactful change.

The enablement of Panchayats is extremely important for citizen centric development, and through our collective efforts, we have delivered initial successes. Through various campaigns across 5000+ Panchayats, we have unlocked the potential of Panchayat leadership, empowering local leaders to become true agents of change.

Our team has consistently delivered impressive education outcomes in partnership with state and districts adminsirtation, such as in Balrampur, Chitrakoot, Aurangabad, and Nawada under the Development Impact Bond. Additionally, our work in Chatra and Simdega in the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) space stands as a testament to how systemic change can drive tangible and meaningful outcomes.

One of the key moments in our journey has been our collaboration with the Bihar and Jharkhand governments on the Filaria Mukt Panchayat initiative. Through community involvement and the leadership of Mukhiyas, we’ve significantly increased drug consumption rates and strengthened health outcomes. These numbers represent more than just statistics—they embody real stories of transformation driven by individuals who are committed to building a better tomorrow.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on Building Bharat through decentralization—ensuring development is led by those closest to the ground. Aspirational Bharat Collaborative is committed to improving the lives of those at the last mile through a collective approach. I want to express my gratitude to our network of 1200+ Local NGOs, 30,000+ Youth Volunteers, 1000+ Local Media Personnel, and thousands of Faith Leaders and SHG members. Your dedication to collective action has made all the difference.

Through all of this, I am deeply inspired by the countless stories of courage, perseverance, and determination that fuel our work. These stories embody the spirit of Sewa Bhav—the essence of our commitment to serve, inspire, and innovate with purpose. As Gandhiji famously said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” I invite each of us today to make a personal commitment: I will practice empathy and self-compassion, acknowledging that by taking care of myself, I am better equipped to support and serve those around me.

Thank you for your unwavering support, passion, and belief in this mission. Together, let us continue this journey to ensure every child, adolescent, and community in Bharat has the opportunity to live a life with dignity.

With gratitude and resolve,
Manmohan Singh
