Prabhu Dayal’s vision of empowerment and progress for Building Bharat

Like many villages in India, Karaunda Masina a small village in Uttar Pradesh seemed caught in a cycle of neglect—broken roads, limited access to healthcare, and children who rarely set foot in a classroom. Water scarcity added to the hardship, leaving families to struggle for even the most basic necessities. Prabhu Dayal Yadav became Gram Pradhan with the vision of Building Bharat and decided to create a new future for his community.

He worked relentlessly to transform the panchayat’s infrastructure. Roads were repaired, water tanks were installed, and health services were brought closer to those in need. Schools that once stood empty began to buzz with the voices of children eager to learn. But his vision went deeper than just infrastructure—he believed that progress must include everyone. Prabhu Dayal empowered women by forming self-help groups, creating spaces where women could gain financial independence and confidence. He emphasized education and health, ensuring that women and children had the opportunities they deserved to thrive. In the future, he wants to make sanitary pad banks for women and create awareness of menstrual hygiene. Today, Karaunda Masina stands as a beacon of transformation. With its clean surroundings, thriving schools, and empowered women, the panchayat inspires others—a testament to what is possible when leadership meets purpose. Prabhu Dayal’s journey reminds us that change begins with one step, one vision, and the resolve to see it through.
