Sakhyam recognized with the Chairman’s Social Impact Award

Each year, the Piramal Group honors outstanding contributions made by its Corporate entities towards creating meaningful social impact. The Chairman’s Award for Social Impact recognizes initiatives that not only deliver measurable change but also exemplify the Piramal Values of Knowledge, Action, Care, and Impact. It is a celebration of purpose-driven achievements that inspire collective commitment to building a better world.

For 2024, two projects implemented in close collaboration with the Piramal Foundation were recognized with the Chairman’s Social Impact Award.

One of these, Project Sakhyam—anchored by Inclusive Bharat Collaborative, FG6 (Judaav) Piramal Foundation’s Shared Services, and the Wholesale Team—was honored for championing the spirit and power of volunteering. Ms. Shilpa Amrawat (IBC), Ms. Arushi Dhawan (FG4), and Ms. Aruna Ramakrishnan (FG6), were recognized for their contribution along with the Wholesale Team.

Sakhyam is a curated one-on-one buddyship program designed to foster meaningful connections between Piramal Group leaders and the Foundation. The program creates a unique, two-way experiential platform that encourages knowledge exchange between corporate leaders and Gandhi Fellows. Through immersive field visits and hands-on collaboration, Piramal executives gain firsthand exposure to grassroots realities and the complex challenges of the social sector. At the same time, Gandhi Fellows receive valuable insights into the corporate world, enhancing their career and market readiness. This dynamic exchange of perspectives not only strengthens the bond between the Group and the Foundation but also sparks innovative ideas and strategies for creating lasting impact.

The project was recognized for the complexity of engagement brining both the groups together, the relationship and trust established between the Wholesale Team, FG6 and IBC and promoting culture shifts values and volunteering through Sakhyam. It was also recognized for its contirbutions to building Bharat through social inclusion by brining both the entities together.
