The partnership with NIMHANS, India's premier institute of mental health, is a big step towards creating a supportive environment for women to thrive and soar high.
Prof. Dr Pratima Murthy, Director NIMHANS, at the well-attended launch, stated “Mental health is integral to overall well-being. Women, vulnerable due to multiple roles, need timely support. The MANASWINI program by NIMHANS and Piramal Foundation is crucial for educating and sensitizing women about mental health, ensuring timely intervention and awareness.” The partnership includes co-designing a mental health curriculum for Karuna Fellows, who will also be trained and certified as trainers. Over 2000 Karuna Fellows, (residents of rural areas) will be oriented and trained on mental health.
